Clarke Quay and Boat Quay they are the historical riverside quay of Singapore. There used to be numerous bumboats transporting the goods to the warehouses until the late 70s the cargo services were being relocated to Pasir Panjang. There was a massive clean up of the river and the whole place was revamped. Today it is one of Singapore famous tourist hotspot and entertainment highlights. Along the River, the shophouses which use to be warehouse now bustling interesting mix of cuisine and entertainment centre. There are several hotels located right next to the river where you can enjoy excellent river views while staying there.
